A very beautiful Sarracenia hybrid complex but with uncertain parentage. A pretty red with a slightly yellow throat at the beginning of the season, it darkens more and more to finish very dark red at the end of the season. The operculum has fairly fine but very dark veins.
Its color and shape inspired its name in reference to the famous video game character who deposed Ares, the god of war.
