A very beautiful, complex Sarracenia hybrid of uncertain parentage. A lovely red with a slightly yellow throat at the start of the season, it darkens increasingly to finish a very deep red at the end of the season. The lid features fairly fine but very dark veins.
Its color and shape inspired its name, in reference to the famous video game character who deposed Ares, the god of war.
